Search Warrant Yields Cocaine Bust

LAKE GEORGE—A Glens Falls man has been arrested for cocaine possession after members of the Warren County Sheriff’s office executed a search warrant Saturday at a Lake George motel.
James Scott Atherton-Ely, 24, of Gage St., was charged with second degree possession of a controlled substance, a class A-II felony, after a search of a room at the Holly Tree Motel, 2191 Route 9, Lake George, led to the discovery of 154.6 grams, approximately 5 ½ ounces of cocaine along with an assortment of drug paraphernalia.
Atherton-Ely was arraigned in Lake George Court and was remanded to the Warren County Correctional Facility in lieu of $100,000 cash bail or $200,000 bail bond.
The case was investigated by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Enforcement Unit and the Glens Falls Police Department. 6-16-08
