Dog Drives Van Into Coffee House

SUFFOLK COUNTY—No charges were filed against the driver of a van which ran into a coffee house Wednesday.
The operator of the van was a dog named Bentley.
Suffolk County Police said that Bryan Maher, 60, of Port Jefferson, left his 1992 Chevrolet running when he went into Cool Beanz in Saint James about 7:10 p.m. Bentley put the vehicle in drive and the van rolled into the building.
No one was injured. The crash damaged the glass window at the front of the store and some patio furniture. 11-22-08
