Ex-DCF Official Gets 24 Years For Kiddie Porn

TAMPA, FLA—The former press secretary for Florida’s Department of Children and Families and a former television reporter for Bay News 9 in Tampa Bay will be spending the next 24 1/2 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to producing child pornography.
Al Zimmerman, 41, had been charged with forcing children, including one who had been within the care of DCF, to perform lewd acts for money so he could film them.
According to the arrest report, some of the pornographic images date back to December 2005. The crimes allegedly occurred between December 2005 and July 2007 in Hillsborough County and between October and Friday in Orange County. 5-8-09
