WARREN COUNTY—The Warren County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two individuals for driving while intoxicated.
Katrina R. Moon, 23, of Lawrence St., Glens Falls, was arrested Friday following a 1:20 a.m. traffic stop of a 1999 Chevrolet passenger car on State Route 9N in Lake George for an unsafe lane change and failure to signal.
Moon was charged with driving while intoxicated after her blood alcohol content was found to be 0.11. She was processed and released on her own recognizance to appear in the Town of Lake George Court on a later date.
On Thursday, at 11:34 p.m., a Florida man was taken into custody after sheriff’s officers responded to a motor vehicle accident on Valley Woods Road near the intersection of Horicon Avenue in Bolton Landing.
Police said Thomas S. Elliott, 44, of Sarasota, Fla., was operating the 2006 Ford pick-up northbound on Horicon Ave. when he failed to negotiate the turn onto Valley Woods Road due to excessive speed, and struck a utility pole.
Elliott was transported to Glens Falls Hospital by Bolton Emergency Squad and he was subsequently charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated, and issued citations for imprudent speed, and failure to wear a seat belt. He is to appear in the Bolton Town Court at a later date.
The arrest and accident investigation were handled by Patrol Officer William Backus and Patrol Officer Josh Lopez. Bolton Fire Department also assisted at the scene of the accident. 6-5-09
