Trio Busted For Northville Laundromat Burglary

MAYFIELD—Three people have been arrested for burglarizing the Northville Laundromat.
Brandon R. Coopey, 28 and Joshua S. Hodgson, 28, both of Mayfield and Mindy L. Vezeau, 22 of Edinburg, have been charged with third degree burglary, a felony and fifth degree conspiracy, a misdemeanor, after State Police received a call from a citizen in Northville who had observed suspicious activity at the laundromat at about 3 a.m. Thursday.
After receiving the original complaint, arriving troopers were able to obtain a description of the suspects and the vehicle they used. Fulton County Deputy Wayne Peters, along with his K-9 Blitz, responded and successfully tracked the fleeing subjects to an area where they entered an awaiting vehicle. They were apprehended a short distance later in the Village of Northville.
Police said their investigation revealed that Coopey forcefully entered the laundromat and, along with Vezeau, was allegedly in the process of stealing the change machine located within that business. Both subjects fled and were picked up by Hodgson a short distance from the scene.
The three were arraigned in the Northampton town court and will reappear at a later date. 7-2-09
