Both Occupants Of Car Charged With DWI

SCHODACK—One car. Two DWI arrests.
It was a single car crash but State Police arrested both occupants for driving while intoxicated following a one-car personal injury accident early Saturday morning.
State Police in Sand Lake responded to the scene of a one car personal injury crash on Route 9 in the Town of Schodack about 5 a.m. Upon arrival it was apparent that the vehicle was driven into the side of a house causing substantial damage to the structure.
Police said the vehicle had two occupants, Victoria M. DiPietro, 22, and Felicia M. Moody, 21, both of Pittsfield, Mass. Both women complained of pain and were transported to Albany Medical Center for evaluation.
Police said both women had been drinking alcohol and gave conflicting stories as to who was driving. Evidence was developed that showed that both women had been driving at different times that night. Both were placed under arrest for DWI and fourth degree criminal mischief.
The DWI charge was made pending the lab results from the airbag that was secured from the driver side of the vehicle.
Both subjects were arraigned in Schodack town court. Both were released on their own recognizance to re appear on Nov. 4. 10-26-09
