QUEENSBURY—A West Glens Falls man who was arrested for growing over 400 marijuana plants in his mobile home has pleaded guilty to felony criminal possession of marijuana.
A complaint last April to the Warren County Child Protective Services about a seven month old child allegedly living in a home that was being used to as a marijuana growing operation led to the arrest David John Ford, 46, by the Warren County Sheriff’s Narcotics Enforcement Unit after they executed a search warrant at Ford’s trailer in the Homestead Village Trailer Park in Queensbury.
The search revealed several mature marijuana plants, growing lights, and weighing and packaging devices in the home.
Ford was placed on one year of interim probation by Warren County Court judge John S. Hall. He likely faces five years of probation when he’s sentenced next October.
The infant was not in the home at the time of the search warrant and was found to be with a babysitter. 11-03-09
