Judge Sunshine Encounters A Thundercloud

Posted on Friday, 6 of November , 2009 at 8:37 pm

BROOKLYN—Poor Judge Sunshine.

His trials and tribulations would probably make a good segment for the Simpsons.

Divorce and child custody proceedings are among the most volatile.

One might say that one woman involved in a divorce proceeding before Sunshine is less than pleased with his ruling.

She’s been arrested for harassing and threatening the judge.

Supreme Court Justice Jeffrey Sunshine presides in Brooklyn and is presiding in an ongoing divorce and child support proceeding involving Cheryl Uzamere and Nigerian senator Ehigie Edobor Uzamere.

Sunshine filed a complaint against Uzamere for allegedly leaving 10 voice messages for him.  She also allegedly sent three faxes to his judicial chambers, stating “You’re going to pay for what you’ve done” and that “the battle was to the death”.

Uzamere also allegedly called the Inspector General’s Office of New York County and said that she was “going to put on a disguise and shoot (Sunshine) in the head”.

She’s been sent for psychiatric evaluation after turning herself in earlier this week.

Uzamere has memorialized her complaints about “Bigot” Sunshine at her website.
