QUEENSBURY—-A Lake George man has died as the result of a roll-over accident on County Line Road in Queensbury early Friday morning.

Brian N. Hover, 24, of Bay Road, Lake George was operating a 1997 Ford F-150 pickup truck southbound on Queensbury Ave. approximately a half mile south of Park Road, police said. The vehicle exited the northbound side of the roadway and struck an earth embankment.  The vehicle then rolled over at least two times ejecting Hover who was not wearing a seatbelt, according to police.  He was pinned under the vehicle and had to be extricated.  He was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office received a report of the accident about 4:33 a.m., Undersheriff Robert Swan said.

It is unknown what caused the vehicle to cross both lanes of traffic and exit the highway.  Routine toxicology test will be performed at a later date, Swan said.

Members of the Sheriff’s Traffic Safety Unit and the Criminal Investigations Unit are handling the incident.

Members of the South Queensbury, Bay Ridge, and Kingsbury Fire Departments and the Bay Ridge Rescue Squad responded and assisted at the scene.   11-13-09
