Sex Offenders Jailed For Moving Without Notification

Posted on Saturday, 14 of November , 2009 at 11:18 am

QUEENSBURY—Two registered sex offenders are lodged in the Warren County Correctional Facility after police say that they moved without making the required notification.

Anthony Pecue, 36, had moved from his last known address of 509 Upper Sherman Ave. in Queensbury, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office said, but had failed to notify either the sheriff’s office or the New York Sex Offender Registry that he had changed his residence. Correction Law requires sex offenders register within 10 days with law enforcement after a chance of residence.

Pecue, a Level 1 Sex Offender, was arrested Thursday on a felony charge of failure to register and is being held without bail.

Ronald Ruff, 38, also a Level 1 Sex Offender, is being held for lack of $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond after police said he moved from his last known address of Best Inn 24, Big Boom Rd. in Queensbury without making the required notification. He also faces a felony count of failure to register.

Both cases were investigated by Patrol Officer Paul Wells. 11-14-09
