National Guard Trespass Charged Dropped

SUFFOLK COUNTY—A criminal trespass charge against a Quogue woman who was arrested at the Westhampton Air National Guard base was dismissed in Southampton town court Wednesday.

The Suffolk County district attorney’s office dismissed the misdemeanor charge because an investigation found the defendant, Nancy Genovese, was inside her car outside the fenced property and never left her vehicle at the time of her arrest on July 30.

Ms. Genovese signed an agreement stating she acknowledges “entry onto or into the 106th Rescue Wing property on County Road 31 in Westhampton Beach is forbidden” and that if she returned to the location, criminal charges would be filed against her.  11-18-09
