Cops: Man Used Forged Check To Pay Prostitute

CLARENCE—An Amherst man has been arrested for using a forged check to pay for patronizing a male prostitute.

William ThygesanWilliam J. Thygesen, 60, of Hartford Ave., was charged with issuing a false written statement and third degree patronizing a prostitute after State Police received a complaint of a forged check.

Investigation into the claim that a check was stolen and forged, led investigators to the discovery of payment being made for sexual contact with a 21-year-old male.

He was issued appearance tickets for the criminal charges which were filed in the Towns of Clarence and Amherst.  11-20-09
