Wind Causes Power Outages

WARREN COUNTY—National Grid was reporting about 1,400 customers without electricity in Warren County as of 9:30 a.m. Saturday due to strong winds.
Wind speed was reported at 15 mph at the Warren County Airport with gusts up to 30 mph.
About 400 customers were without power in the Johnsburg area where sheriff’s officers were reporting “tree debris all over”. There were reports of trees and wires down throughout the county.
In the Chestertown and Riparius areas, about 300 customers were experiencing outages. Other areas affected were Stony Creek where 233 were without electricity.
The estimated restoration time was listed as 10 a.m.
A high wind warning remains in effect until 6 p.m. Saturday. 11-28-09
