STONY CREEK—A 47-year-old Ballston Spa man was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated late Friday night after he was involved in a one car personal injury auto accident on Harrisburg Road in Stony Creek.
Glenn Earl Campbell, of 10 Kristen Dr., Ballston Spa, was arrested after the pick up truck he was operating left the roadway striking a tree head on, police said. Campbell suffered minor injuries from the crash and refused medical treatment at the scene. Campbell stated that he had just left a local bar in Stony Creek, according to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.
Campbell’s blood-alcohol content was found to be 0.19 percent, just over the 0.18 percent threshold for aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor.
Campbell was released pending prosecution in the Stony Creek Court at a later date. The arrest was made by Sheriff’s Officer Scott Phillips. NY State Police assisted at the scene. 11-30-09
