CAPE CORAL, FLA---A Florida mother trying to drop her children off at Gulf Elementary School Thursday morning faces a felony charge of aggravated battery for allegedly driving her car into a teacher following a dispute.
When Elizabeth Morrison, 29, tried to drop her children off at a bus ramp where disabled students are unloaded, a teacher told her she wasn't in the right location.
Morrison apparently became upset, police said and drove her car forward, allegedly
striking another teacher standing on the ramp who had come to the aid of the other after a verbal dispute broke out.
Morrison left the scene and when police went to her home several hours later, she first told them she hadn't struck the teacher. She later said the teacher ran in front of her car. 1-6-06
