SCHENECTADY---A man accused of biting and punching a Rotterdam police detective tried to evade arrest Friday by masquerading as a woman.
Daniel Pirrone, 49, of Schenectady, donned a black wig, a woman's sweater and had a backpack purse when he was arrested in the city the day following the incident.
Pirrone has been charged with assault and is being held in the Schenectady County Jail. 1-15-06
