LETTERS TO THE EDITOR - Licensure Guarantee Honesty?

Editor, The North Country Gazette:

In regard to your article "Unauthorized Practice of Law Would Become Felony", www.northcountrygazette.org/articles/020106FelonyUPL.html, passing the bar exam is not easy. We assume there is competency.

How does licensure of attorneys guarantee honesty?

How many of your readers have been sold out by their own attorneys?

And what good is self-policing of attorneys if it is done in the dark?

How can a person know who they are hiring, if attorney conduct records are not available?
