Documentary On Schiavo Case To Air Feb. 26

Is food and water artificial life support?

Who decides when someone should die?

Should people be starved and dehydrated to death?

Among your parents, spouses and siblings, who would have your best interest in a matter of life and death?

Could a simple statement such as "I don't want to live like that" be considered clear and convincing evidence to cause you to be starved and dehydrated to death?

These are just some of the questions that have arisen from the Terri Schindler-Schiavo case that will be debated for years to come.

A two-hour documentary concerning the Terri Schindler-Schiavo case will be aired by WealthTV on Feb. 26 on cable television, exploring the life of Terri from her childhood through her tragic death and examines the myriad of issues and questions that have made Terri Schiavo a worldwide name.

A preview of the two-hour special can be viewed at the WealthTV website http://www.wealthtv.net/index_hi.html#

The special features never before seen photos and video of Terri, and contains numerous exclusive interviews with Terri's family and friends. Also captured in this special are exclusive insights from the attorneys for both the Schindlers and Michael Schiavo. The program features prominent women's rights attorney Gloria Allred, and world renowned pathologist Dr. Michael Baden, who, according to WealthTV, add balance and insight into this fascinating story of how a young woman just starting out in life would end up becoming a symbol in a fight for life that would eventually involve all levels of our government at the highest level.

"In this case, you have a mother and father who are doing what every parent understands" Schindlers' attorney David Gibbs III said. "They are fighting for the life of their daughter and this is a situation where as parents they can't even understand how it gotten to this point…….They have this hanging death warrant if you will over their daughter and they can't understand it because they go in and visit their daughter, they enjoy their time with her, they see how alive she is and what they can't fathom is that in the United States we were always a nation that said we would protect innocent life. Our founding fathers said some of the key phrases in the founding of this country-life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And here they're watching the courts order order their daughter to die.

"Bob and Mary Schindler would have laid down the own life in a minute if it could have saved Terri's. If Bob Schindler could say I would trade places with my daughter. I will die, please let Terri live. And parents understand that, that's the love of a Mom and a Dad., the heartbeat of a parent", Gibbs says.

"It' s something no parent should ever have to experience", Terri's brother Bobby says. I can't believe that we're doing this to human beings. I don't understand why we should disconnect with our society…..we're starving and dehydrating people to death".

"The last time I saw Terri alive she was clearly in a horrible state of death", Gibbs said. "And she looked at me kind of imploringly and she had a very sad look on her face, she had just kissed and cried with her mother and I looked at her and I said, Terri, I'm sorry. We did everything we knew how to do to save your life. I went out in the hallway and Mary, her Mom was there and crying, trying to compose herself for our walkout and Mary said something to me, she says David, I'm no lawyer and I'm no doctor but what I can't understand is how come they're gonna to kill my little girl. And I said Mary, I'm no doctor and I am a lawyer and I don't understand it either. It doesn't make sense".

The program will be aired without any network commercials. All of the interviews that were granted in the production of this documentary program will be available on Video on Demand (VOD). This will allow viewers to see all of the unedited interviews with the principles of the documentary to get further information and perspective on how the show was put together, and be able to see and hear everything that was revealed. Viewers should check with their local cable provider to find availability of WealthTV and the Video on Demand (VOD) offering.

Robert Herring Sr., the owner of WealthTV is the California businessman who offered in early March, 2005, before the Terri's feeding tube was removed, to pay Michael Schiavo $1 million if he would relinquish the guardianship of his wife.

Herring retained celebrity attorney Gloria Allred to convey the offer to Schiavo.

If he agreed to "transfer the legal right to decide all of Terri's current and future medical decisions to Terri's parents, then Mr. Herring will pay Mr. Schiavo the amount of $1 million subject to court approval of Terri's parents as her conservators or guardians".

Schiavo refused the offer.

Herring supports stem-cell research and believed that Terri's condition could have improved with therapy and rehabilitation.
