Thank you for helping to expose NY's school choice situation.
Most of the media in this state will not touch these issues. The illegal alien issue and the pandering of many politicians for their favor only highlights how America's minorities have come to be taken for granted.
With two out of three minority children unprepared to graduate from high school in four years, if ever, we are counted on to back the Dems who side with the teachers unions against school choice, and snub the pro school choice Repubs. http://www.northcountrygazette.org/articles/041906ThirdLowest.html
Satisfying the unions at our expense will not cost much of our support, so they might as well harvest the support of the school unions.
God bless you and talk show hosts who are helping make this an issue. It is relevant across the country and school choice would apply to all students regardless of race. If exposure makes the school choice situation enough of a political liability for the obstacles to be removed, potentially millions of students will benefit as schools are forced to compete for students.
