ALBANY---Emily Pataki, daughter of Gov. George Pataki, has flunked the New York State bar exam in her first attempt, according to the New York Law Journal.
She can take the exam again in February.
At age 23, she is the eldest daughter of the Governor and is employed by the White & Case law firm in New York City. She told her associates of her failure by e-mail. She is a graduate of Columbia University Law School, her father's alma mater.
Her father didn't seek a fourth term. He's contemplating seeking the Republican presidential nomination in 2008. 11-16-06
