Eight Alleged Deadbeat Dads Arrested

TROY---Eight men who Rensselaer County district attorney Patricia DeAngelis have characterized as deadbeat dads, allegedly collectively owing more than $186,000 in back child support, have been arrested as part of the prosecutor's Joint Enforcement Team program.

Each has been charged with non-support of a child in the second degree a class A misdemeanor and criminal contempt in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor.

Arrested were Matthew Cooper, 41, of Albany is accused of owing the most back support: $66,173.88. Clyde Cook Jr., 34, of Troy, is accused of owing $28,794.95; Sean Caligiuri, 32, of Albany, $25,491.05; and Joseph Esposito, 37, of Troy, $23,000.

Others arrested were Romon Sepulveda, 30, of Troy, $17,709.72; Kenneth Blanchard, 30, of Troy, $10,233; Jonathan Austin, 28, of Valley Falls, $9,125; and Dorsey Farnon, 35, of Troy, $6,127.04. 11-21-06
