Click And Shop Cyber Monday

First there's Black Friday and then there's Cyber Monday.

As millions of Americans return to work Monday and turn on their office computers, their focus won't be on that unfinished report or letters for the boss, but using the Internet to browse or buy gifts online.

According to a survey sponsored by National Retail Federation's online unit Shop.org, nearly 40% of the people polled plan to shop online when they return to work on Monday.

The Monday following Thanksgiving has become known as Cyber Monday and it's expected that holiday online sales will reach nearly $20 billion this year and many online retailers, such as those who are advertising on this website, will offer hefty discounts for Web shoppers.

Companies like Amazon will be challenged by online retailers such as Wal-Mart and Target, all of whom advertise here on The North Country Gazette. Simply return to the home page and click on the retailers' ads displayed on the left hand side of the page which will then open up into an on-line store, offering thousands of items but without spending the money for gas, long waits at the checkout counters or hassling with the crowds. 11-27-05
