HAMILTON, OHIO---Charges of public indecency against Hamilton's city prosecutor who was arrested for walking naked around the Government Services Center after business hours have been dismissed because they were improperly filed.
Scott Blauvelt, 35, who was caught on tape in his birthday suit on Oct. 5 had been charged with two counts of public indecency, fourth degree misdemeanors. His attorney said that Blauvelt had been charged under an obsolete law and that prosecutors had decided not to refile charges. The attorney claimed that the prosecutor had a bad reaction to medication that had been prescribed for him for depression and to control seizures.
The night of Blauvelt's arrest, a guard monitoring the security cameras for the complex first saw a person enter an area housing county offices which is outside the camera's eye and when the person came back into the camera's range, he was nude.
After he was first caught on tape, further investigation revealed that Blauvelt had also appeared on the security camera's footage the night previous in an area which houses the court. 11-27-06
