Nail Salon Receptionist Charged With Customer Rape

QUEENSBURY---A receptionist at an Aviation Mall nail salon has been charged with having sex with two underaged female customers.

Jimmy Du, 27, of Queensbury, has been charged with third degree rape and third degree criminal sexual act for his relationships with two girls under the age of 17 whom he met through salon known as Professionail. There are no allegations that the sexual contact was forced but in New York State, the age for consensual sex is 17.

State Police began investigating Du in relation to alleged inappropriate communications that he had had with a 15-year-old girl which led to charges last month of endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor. An order of protection was issued in that case, prohibiting him from contacting the girl but according to police, he has been charged with twice violating the order.

As a result of that investigation, further information was received and Du was charged in relation to alleged sexual contact with the two girls.

Du is lodged in the Warren County Jail without bail. 12-20-06
