Police: Idaho Mayor Used City Computer For Porn

BOVILL, IDAHO---The mayor of Bovill, a small city of 305 people located in northern Idaho, has been charged with using the city's computer to view pornography.

Mayor Bradley E. Dorendorf, in his third term, has been charged with a misdemeanor count of computer crime following a seven-month investigation by the Latah County Sheriff's Department which included a forensic analysis of a city computer and interviews with city employees.

Police accuse Dorendorf of using the city computer to surf porn sites and say that the porn began appearing as pop-ups, ultimately causing the computer to crash. The mayor claims that he accidentally sent spam e-mail which accessed porn sites. 12-31-06
