Conservatives Endorse Bud York For Warren County Sheriff

QUEENSBURY----The Warren County Conservative Committee has endorsed Nathan "Bud" York of Warrensburg for Warren County sheriff in the upcoming November election.

York, who recently retired from a 30-year career with the New York State Police, is challenging Larry Cleveland who is seeking his third term as sheriff.

"Bud York has dedicated 30 years to the New York State Police, beginning as a Trooper and rising through the ranks to his last position of senior investigator", Conservative Party chair Carol Birkholz said. York was the supervisor in charge of all major criminal investigations for the New York State Police in Warren County. He is a graduate of LaSalle University with a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice management. Additionally, he has completed numerous specialized training and education courses and is a past member of the Warrensburg School Board of Education.

York is an experienced criminal investigator with a demonstrated ability in major criminal investigations including child sexual abuse, a proven ability in all aspects of case management, court room preparation and testimony and supervision of personnel involved in police work and major criminal investigations.

"He is a strong proponent of the Conservative philosophy, particularly fiscal accountability", Mrs. Birkholz said. "Among his goals is to prioritize public safety and promote safety over politics".

"We are very impressed with the candidacy of Nathan "Bud" York and believe he is the right candidate at the right time." 4-1-07
