ALBANY---A Brooklyn Assemblyman and Baptist minister who is the executive pastor of the First Baptist Church in Crown Heights was arrested about 1:45 a.m. Wednesday on Central Ave. in Albany and charged with driving while intoxicated and speeding.
Police said that Karim Camara, 35, was traveling west on Central Avenue when police clocked him traveling 65 mph in a 30 mph zone and was allegedly weaving through traffic lanes.
Arresting officers said Camara had alcohol on his breath, had glassy eyes and slurred speech. He failed several field sobriety tests and refused both an alco-sensor and a breathalyzer test.
